Background

Murmur has been performing in various events as a duo since its formation in 2022. This is the first time we collaborated with other musicians and instructors to rearrange and produce the songs I originally created, sparking new creativity.

Process

All of the songs from Murmur are composed by me, but I’m not particularly skilled at instruments other than the guitar, and I’m not very familiar with arrange these either. So, for this project, I invited professional musicians from various fields to collaborate. After several rehearsal sessions, we reworked the original songs by incorporating drums, bass, strings, electric guitar, and programming.

Reflection

After the performance, not only did over a hundred people attend, but I also had the opportunity to meet many friends and teachers from different backgrounds. This not only helped me expand my network but also opened up many interesting opportunities for exchange and collaboration. Through my interactions with them, I not only learned more about the skills and knowledge involved in organizing performances but also discovered many different perspectives and creative ideas. Each interaction, whether through sharing from peers or advice from teachers, deepened my reflection and understanding of my own work. These experiences made me realize that the power of creation and performance lies not only in the art itself but also in its ability to inspire and foster connections and resonance between people.
